Local Policing officers have arrested two males on suspicion of drug supply, and recovered weapons and drugs in Rock Ferry, Wirral yesterday, Thursday 30 November.

At around 10am, officers on patrol in the Clifton Road area stop-checked a red Chrysler in suspicious circumstances. A quantity of suspected heroin, a knuckleduster, a large military style knife and cash were recovered.

A 46-year-old man from Crosby and a 16-year-old boy from Clubmoor were arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

Both have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Local Policing Chief Inspector Nick Gunatilleke said: “Another recovery means fewer weapons on our streets that could be used to cause fear, intimidation or harm.

“We would urge anyone with information on the storage and use of weapons and supply of drugs to let us know, so we can continue to take positive action and make your streets safer.

“Working alongside our partners and the public, we will act on all information provided to remove drugs and weapons from the streets.”

Anyone with information is asked to speak to local officers, call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
